About me
Hi, I’m Glendy Hoepelman Josefina, an artist with a deep love for exploring emotions, identity, and our connection to nature. My art is where my two worlds meet—my Latin American heritage, full of passion and symbolism, and the structured, conceptual influences I embraced in Europe.
I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, surrounded by vibrant culture, history, and nature. Moving to the Netherlands at a young age shifted my perspective and gave my art a unique voice—one that balances raw emotion with thoughtful composition.
My creative process is intuitive, like a conversation between my emotions and the canvas. I work with painting, ceramics, and mixed media, often weaving in symbols and archetypes that reflect themes of transformation, resilience, and connection. More than anything, I believe art has the power to bring people together, to tell stories that words cannot, and to spark something personal in each viewer.
Beyond creating, I love sharing my knowledge with others, especially within the Latin American community here in the Netherlands. Art is a journey, and I hope my work invites you to explore, reflect, and find your own meaning within it.
Thank you for being here. Feel free to browse my portfolio, and I hope my art speaks to you in its own way.
